How to Prevent Cotton Sheets from Wrinkling?
3 tips to help you prevent sheets from wrinkling:
1. Remove Promptly and Shake Vigorously: Immediately after the dryer cycle ends, remove your sheets. Give them a firm shake before hanging or placing them on the bed. This action helps to loosen and prevent set-in wrinkles while the fibers are still warm and pliable.
2. Opt for a Low-Heat Tumble Dry & Damp Dry: Avoid over-drying on high heat, as this bakes wrinkles into the fabric. Instead, use a low-heat setting and remove the sheets while they are still slightly damp. Then, either air-dry them completely flat or put them directly on the bed. The weight of the mattress will smooth out most wrinkles as they finish drying.
3. Make the Bed Immediately: The most effective method is to put the sheets on the bed right after drying. Smooth and stretch them out firmly onto the mattress, ensuring the deep pockets are securely fastened at the corners. This allows any residual moisture to evaporate with the sheets in a smooth, taut position, resulting in a crisp, nearly wrinkle-free look.
